The Paxson School Garden will be open this summer!
Paxson students and Garden City Harvest staff have been working hard to prepare and plant the garden with vegetables like sugar snap peas, cherry tomatoes, lettuce and more! Families are welcome to visit the garden and take home veggies through the Open Garden Hours and Summer Garden Volunteers programs.
Summer Garden Volunteers
Weekly, beginning June 19th through August 20th
We are looking for folks to volunteer to care for the garden each week of the summer. You’ll help by opening the garden for a couple of hours during the week, whenever it fits into your schedule. We encourage you to do some light weeding and harvesting. Some perks of the job: taking home free, fresh produce and enjoying the outdoors.
Open Garden Hours
Tuesdays, 9am-12pm – June 20- August 15th
School Garden Manager Lori will be in the garden every Tuesday morning this summer. Come visit the garden, help out, learn about gardening, connect with neighbors, and take home some fresh fruits and vegetables.
